Wang River Poems

Dan Veach

  Bamboo Lodge

Sitting alone, a secluded bamboo grove

Plucking a zither and whistling carelessly

Deep in the forest no man knows

Bright moon comes. We shine on one another

Wang Wei

Coming once more to Bamboo Lodge

Daily holding the Tao more dear

Going and coming, only mountain birds

Secluded, deep. No world, no men
